"You know," Ed said carefully to the person who lay beside him, "You never show much affection."

Roy turned to the younger boy, raising an elegant eyebrow. "What do you mean? Of course I do," he mumbled, still in a blissful daze.

Ed snorted, looking up at the ceiling, like that's who he's talking to. "You shower me with gifts and assorted chocolates. That's flattery, not affection," he stated, simply, without hesitation.

The elder rolled onto his back. Chuckling at his soon-to-be joke, he replied, "Aw, does little Edward want me to hold his hand?"

"Shut up, bastard," Ed growled, "I'm just saying, a touch on the shoulder, a quick wink, a little flirting, or even hand-holding would be nice."

"Why do I need to do that stuff? You already know that I love you."

The blonde shrugged, though it was awkward due to him being in bed. "It's kind of like a little reminder, I don't know. It's nice."

Roy nodded slightly, then smirked, as he does. "Flirting, you say?"

"Um, yeah."

It was quiet for a few moments.

"Do you have a bandaid?" Roy suddenly asked.

Ed was slightly confused. "No, I - "

"Because I just scraped my knee falling for you."

"Oh, c'mon! Not this again!" Ed exclaimed.

Roy turned to him and said, slowly, " You're like a dictionary - you add meaning to my life."

The younger alchemist blushed slightly. "I'm serious. That isn't flirting."

Roy only smiled. "Do you have a map? I just keep on getting lost in your eyes. "

"No, I don't have a damn map - "

"If I could rewrite the alphabet, I would put U and I together."

"Well, you can't, so boo-hoo."

"If I received a nickel for every time I saw someone as beautiful as you, I'd have five cents."

Ed's blush darkened. "Stop it, I mean it."

"Are you tired? You've been running through my mind all day."

"We spent the whole day together."

"Baby, you must be a broom, cause you just swept me off my feet."

"I thought we said no pet names?" Edward asked with a small smile.

Roy too the chance and rolled over on top of his lover. "If I told you you had a nice body, would you hold it against me?"

Ed squeaked, "Maybe."

Roy chuckled and kissed him.

"I swear, you're the only person who can get away with those lines," Ed told Mustang.

"I know," he gloated.

Ed sighed and pulled the older man into another kiss.
